New Delhi, September 19, 2026: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited youth joining various Government of India organisations during the 20th Rozgar Mela on Saturday, September 19.
The programme is scheduled to begin at 12:30 PM and will be conducted through video conferencing. Prime Minister Modi will also address the newly appointed candidates during the event.
The 20th Rozgar Mela is being organised at 45 locations across the country. The newly recruited candidates will join different Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, including the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services and Ministry of Defence, among others.
According to the Government, the Rozgar Mela initiative is aimed at creating employment opportunities for young people and increasing their participation in the country’s development.
With the latest Rozgar Mela, the total number of youth who have received appointment letters through the initiative is expected to reach approximately 12.75 lakh across various Government departments and organisations.
The event is part of the Government’s continuing initiative to facilitate employment opportunities and induct newly selected candidates into public service.
